Requirements Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Church duties:
Writes and edits the weekly bulletin and prepares the weekly e-bulletin.
Manages the social media presence including Facebook and Instagram.
Manages and updates content to the parish website.
Updates the YouTube listing and manages the channel.
Updates and manages the Google Business and Bing pages.
Coordinates and places advertising for the church.
Manages all strategies and activities for marketing.
Creates FaceBook post for the Religious Gift Store and Thrift Store.
School Duties:
Develops and manages the social media presence, including Facebook and Instagram.
Manages and updates the school website.
Updates and manages the Google Business and Bing pages.
Manages all marketing outreach.
Coordinates and places advertising for the school.
Participates in in-service/professional development as determined by supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position RequirementsEducation and
Experience:
BS or BA in Communications, Advertising or Public Relations with a minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent.
Proven ability to work creatively and effectively with a wide variety of people and interest groups.
Requires a demonstrated commitment and respect for the Catholic Church and for the tenants of Catholic Social teaching.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willing to accept and work within the churches and school's philosophy and follow associated policies and procedures.
Manifest professional and personal ethics.
Ability to successfully make public presentations individually or as a team member.
Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries with, parishioners, staff, and faculty.
Possess sensitivity to cultural differences present in the service population, staff, and volunteers, and have the ability to forge mutually respectful supportive working relationships.
Must adhere to all Diocesan Policy for communications.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, feel, sit, grasp, hear and perform repetitive motions of the hands/wrists.
Working Environment:
Work is performed mostly in an office setting.
