7 Full-time 14 hours ago Full Job Description RoMac Building Supply is looking to hire an experienced Director of Credit to oversee our company's Credit department, you will be responsible for the daily credit and collection management duties of the credit department.
The execution of this task must be accomplished in a manner which is both sales supportive and minimizes credit losses and maximizes return on accounts receivable investment.
To ensure success as a credit manager, you should have extensive experience with credit analysis, proficiency with accounting software and high level analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Conduct credit investigations on existing and potential customers to extend or raise credit limit Supervise a staff of (5) credit coordinators Manage relations with the sales department and other internal customers Review lien filing reports daily to protect and enforce bond and lien rights.
Ensure all credit procedures comply with regulations Develop, review and update our company's credit policies Follow up on disputes in a timely manner and work with salespeople and customers to resolve Review collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding, and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures Establish credit limits on customer accounts, and handle special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment Research and develop processes that create timely and efficient workflow Effectively communicates with management on negotiations of accounts Networks with various Credit organizations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field-preferred Proven work experience as a credit manager, Collections and/or Accounts Receivable in the construction industry Advanced knowledge of accounting software Good understanding of credit procedures Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal skills Ability to deal with stressful situations Must be able to communicate well with staff, customers, and other internal departments High level communication skills - written and verbal Solid understanding of the Florida Construction Lien Law If a career with an organization that rewards performance and provides a stable and supportive environment for its employees sounds good to you, RoMac Building Supply may just be the place for you.
