Summary:
The Food Services Specialist is to work as assigned within the Dietary Department to prepare, serve and/or deliver food to Inpatient clients, Board meetings, GRTS, Phoenix House, Full Circle, and other staff functions.
This employee is also responsible for kitchen sanitation and cleanliness including, but not limited to, dishes, pots/pans, washing and routine cleaning of the dietary equipment, floors and storage area.

Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and regulations Serves food to clients in the cafeteria, delivers meals to ACU clients and stocks snacks in unit galleys Properly washes and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, pot/pans and cooking equipment, as well as putting them away in an orderly fashion Properly disposes of garbage at end of working day Performs routine housekeeping duties as related to kitchen and eating areas Put away deliveries of food and supplies received from suppliers Operates dishwashing equipment to insure proper cleaning of all dishes, utensils, pots/pans and glasses Cleans dishwasher's work area; keep worktables, shelves and sinks clean; empties waste paper cans and garbage cans after each mean and wash Washes kitchen floor daily and any other area as designated by Food Services Manager Shall be instructed in proper food preparation, handling and storage techniques Attends scheduled in-services Adheres to all departmental and company procedures COMPETENCIES:

Will be required to answer phone and take accurate messages.
Shall have knowledge in sanitizing and cleaning techniques and to use all kitchen equipment accurately and safely.

EDUCATION &
Experience:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:
Completes all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually.
Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
